The long anticipated journey is finally coming to fruition as the construction of the Brown and Childs Houses gains momentum! Breakthru House wishes to thank everyone who made this endeavor possible. Your commitment and support is so very appreciated as we continue our mission of transforming the lives of women and their children struggling with alcohol and drug addiction by providing a long-term residential program to empower them to experience physical, emotional, and spiritual healing through recovery.

Construction Progress Update

Week of Jan 5, 2026

We are pleased to share the following construction milestones achieved this week at Breakthru House:

  • Successfully completed the pre-drywall inspection with Ronnie, Karen, BreNita, Cameron, and Jill
  • Fire foam installation finalized on Tuesday
  • Mechanical inspection completed with DeKalb County on Thursday

These milestones represent steady progress as we continue moving this important project forward.

Construction Progress Update

We’re happy to share another encouraging update on the progress at Breakthru House! Please see the updated photos below.

  • The sprinkler system has been successfully installed and is now completed.
  • HVAC and electrical rough ins are starting this week.
  • Low-voltage work is scheduled to begin next week.

We are excited to continue moving forward with this build as we get closer to creating a space that will truly make a lasting difference in the lives of the women we serve.
